Nusa Kambangan has Many Various Population and Habitat of Rare Trees

Nusa Kambangan  is the name of an island in Central Java that famous  as a maximum security prison, which is home to criminals and terrorist, than as tourism destination. To reach this island people have to cross by ferry from the port of Cilacap approximately five minutes. The ferry port in this island called Wijayapura.
Nusakambangan island has legitimate as nature reserves, also this island use to military training.

Nusakambangan has many various population and habitat of rare trees. Currently the remaining are mostly herbaceous plant, palm, and thickets. Pawlar timber that can only be found on the island is often stolen because once dried, has a quality equal to the wood from Borneo (Kalimantan).

On the contrary to the fact, Nusakambangan lies 30 kilometres and wide about 3 – 6 km coastline with its beautiful golden beaches that could serves heaven for local and foreign tourist. One of the most georgeous beachs is Perisan Beach, with its white sands. The other tourism spot there are Ratu cave, Pasir Putih beach, Masigitsela caves, Karang Bandung beach (Majethi Island) that believes as a place of  wijaya kusuma flower,  Pendem fortress, Klingker fortress, Cumiring lighthouse, Altileri monument, Ranca Babakan beaches, and still many others.

Nusakambangan Island formed by vulcanic stones that in some place covered with limestone as a repercussion of  Lelock mountain range (West Java). This natural resources advantages the local goverment as a material of sement with its facory located at Cilacap.
